Range Rover Sport HST introduced in 2016
The 2016 Range Rover Sport 380-hp model will slot in between the 340-hp base model and the 550-hp supercharged version.
The Range Rover Sport HST gets smoked head- and taillights, a black roof and new roof spoiler, giving the SUV a menacing look. It also comes with dark, 21-inch wheels and upgraded brakes with red calipers. The hood, front fender vents, grille and fog lamp bezels are also finished in gloss black.
The HST is equipped with a 380-hp, 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 engine and a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. The chassis is tuned for sharper responses, according to Land Rover, while a single-speed transfer case and Torsen differential distribute power. The Terrain Response system, which adjusts suspension, steering and throttle settings, gets a unique “dynamic mode” programmed specifically for the HST.
Inside, the new Range gets Oxford leather with ebony trim and HST badges on the dashboard and carpet. The paddle shifters and pedals are metal plated and the aluminum interior trim features a textured finish.
